How long will pain from mesenteric lymphadenitis last?

Variable : For some patients the pain is ony several days but for others it can go on for weeks or almost be a constant discomfort. Some patients have nausea, vomiting and fevers associated with a flare up. Anti- inflammatories may provide some relief. It is not always clear what exacerbates it but infections can be triggers as can allergies, especially from food.
