Ischemia: No. Lateral wall ischemia means that the left part of the left ventricle is not getting enough blood. Unless otherwise specified, it suggests that there is a blockage, usually chronic, of the circumflex artery. Most such individuals should not be in the icu. If this is reversible ischemia, and the area of ischemia is large, further studies may be needed to evaluate the situation further.
