Not necessarily: Hemangioma is a common benign clump of vessels (benign tumor) often congenital; can be single or multiple; can be superficial or deep, large or small. Usually without symptoms-incidental finding on some imaging study; more common in women; may be affected by hormones, bcp, ivf; usually no rx needed; can bleed or pain-rx is surgical or radiologic; not associated w/ca, cirrhosis w/o other causes.
