How is epinephrine administered?

Many: It depends on why you are using it but Epinephrine can be given intramuscularly, sub-cutaneously, intravenously or also as a nasal spray. There is no pill form.

IV or IM usually: For cardiac arrest, epi is typically given iv, but for most allergic reactions, im (intra-muscular) is preferred as it can be quickly administered. Subcutaneous injection is no longer recommended. Oral forms don't work. Inhaled forms can help croup.
