Use glasses: I would ask your eye doctor but since contact lenses are essentially foreign bodies, i wouldn't irritate your eyes further and i would stick with glasses for now.

Inflamed: Stop wearing the contacts, let the eyes recover (treat if indicated). Re evaluate your contacts fit, type, and how you maintain them. You need to work with your eye specialist to take care of the immediate problem as well as problems that may come in the future from long term contact use.
