A member asked:

Is there anything that can treat cytomeaglovirus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, ...: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) can be treated with antiviral compounds such as gangciclovir. Some strains of CMV are resistant to this drug, and/or if someone is immunocompromised, other medicines such as foscarnet or Cidofovir can sometimes help. Most adults have already been infected with CMV sometime during their life and recovered from the infection without medication.
