Glasses and patching: Anisometropia means the two eyes have very different refractive errors, or they need very different prescriptions to correct the vision. This means the two images the brain sees are hard to fuse, so the brain ignores one. The treatment is to correct the vision as best you can and using patching therapy if amblyopia is already present. If done at a young age, vision can be improved.
