A member asked:

How long does blurry vision after ointment last?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Few minutes: Many eye doctors and patients try to avoid using ointments because of the blurred vision they cause. Sometimes, though, the required medication only comes in an ointment form, or a longer contact time associated with an ointment is desired. The blurred vision can last for a few minutes, up to perhaps half an hour, depending on how much ointment was used, and the tear production rate.
