No: If you are pre-diabetic, you are halfway between diabetes and normal. This is the time to act as through proper diet/exercise routine, you might be able to bring your numbers back to a normal level and prevent progression into diabetic range. Please talk to your doctor about how to properly do this.

Along the spectrum: By general lab values, fasting blood-sugar 60-99 = normal. 100-124 =prediabetic(glucose intolerance); 125 and above = diabetes. So some one with bs 124 is called a prediabetic and someone else at 125= diabetic? Fasting bs is only one of few parameters we look at these days to make diagnosis of diabetes. Eitherway, i advise healthy life styles, keep good body wt. If worsen, consult doc. Good luck.

No: The idea of prediabetes is a misnomer, i consider this patients as people with "impaired fasting glucose" and they need to be monitored closely and also begging lifestyle changes to avoid becoming diabetic. Now people with hypoglycemia could be caused by either those that have a tumor producing too much insuline or people taking Insulin either because they have diabetes or some times abusing it.
