Do fats and carbohydrates influence prediabetes?

Possibly: The latest research has shown that diet and exercise and weight reduction are the biggest factors affecting pre-diabetes. There are some programs using a drug such as metformin in this condition. Best advice - keep your weight down and exercise regularly. Discuss the use of medication with your doctor if this does not do the whole job.

Yes and No!: There is much disagreement in the healthcare community on this one. What i see in my wellness practice is that following a low processed carbohydrate diet, while consuming healthy fats as opposed to processed fats, helps to lower body fat and weight, lower inflammation, and lower the risk of developing prediabetes.
