Radiation exposure: Radioactive seeds typically give off 95% of their radiation, in the first few months, after implant. During this time, patient is radioactive and should follow radiation precautions to keep exposure low to living being including pets, especially at infancy( more organs forming/maturing at this age and susceptible to radiation). To decrease exposure, increase distance, shield, decrease time spent.
