Two types : First those related to immunosuppression. It affects t cell immunity so you can get viruses (like CMV and ebv) and rarely lymphoma. Second idiosyncratic side effects including elevated creatinine, high blood pressure and high potassium. Seizures, tremor. Hair loss. Despite all of these side effects, one of the best drugs for transplant patients. Can be used very safely.

Protopic: Tacrolimus or fk506 is commercially sold as protopic. Is is a very strong immunosuppreseant that is not a steroid. It is very helpful in many dermatological cases of immune related issues like eczema and psoriasis.

Tacrolimus: is used prophylactically (with other medications) to help prevent rejection of transplanted organs. Some side effects include ^'ed suseptibility to infections and certain malignancies. Your pharmacist can provide you a complete list of potential side effects.
