A member asked:

Cyclosporine or prograf, which one is more convenient or less aggressive for a patient with ckd stage 3 and less unpleasant side effects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Whoa!: Both of these are immunosuppressive agents. Their indications vary depending on what is actually wrong with the kidney -- clinical diagnosis and biopsy, perhaps current. These are often used in patients who have had transplants. Please do not attempt to self-administer any of these medications as they are quite dangerous. Stage 3 CKD may not require any medications.
