Many: I personally do not use Methadone as i feel the dangers outweigh any advantage over other opioids. The most significant side effects are that of breathing suppression and heart electrical conduction problems. Oxycodone has similar side effects but is much safer.

Narcotic side effect: The most frequently observed side effect include lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, nausea, vomiting, and sweating. There are also less frequent side effects like gitation, confusion, dysphoria, euphoria, insomnia, hallucinations, seizures, arrhythmias, bradycardia, cardiomyopathy, ECG abnormalities, flushing, heart failure, itchiness, rash, abdominal pain, anorexia, constipation .....
