About side effects of melatonin for helping with sleep?

Melatonin: Melatonin is not approved by fda but is widely used as an alternative sleep aid. In my practice it is well tolerated. However some people complain of residual daytime lethargy or feeling it is difficult to awaken. I havent heard other complaints.

Side effects: Possible se’s from melatonin include: feeling tired the next day, sleep walking, nightmares, vivid dreams, dizziness, confusion, headache, GI upset, v libido, v sperm count, gynecomastia in men & mood changes.
