What is holter monitoring now; is it possible by iphone?

Not yet: It should be, but it isn't. There's a gizmo out there available by prescription that can take a single strip with an iphone and transmit it to your doctor, but there's not yet a framework available for your doctor to document those strips in the medical records or to get reimbursed for his/her efforts in doing so, limiting any potential spread of this tech for now.
