Depends: Depends upon how and why the c peptide level was measured. C peptide is simply a measure of your bodies output of insulin. The "normal" amount of Insulin varies depending on a host of factors including meals, exercise, diurnal variation and medications. If your blood sugar was low this might be a normal level. If your blood sugar was high this may mean you have diabetes.

Loosing pancreas: Low c peptide could mean no reserve of pancreas -type 1 diabetes, high c peptide is a sign of leaking pancreas - inflammation and type 2 diabetes.
