A member asked:

What do you recommend if i have elevated alk phos and low c-peptide in 16mth old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ALk phos: is usually elevated in children due to their rapid bone growth but C-peptide values are based on the blood sugar level. C-peptide is a sign that the body is producing insulin. Low values (or no Insulin C-peptide) indicate that your pancreas is producing little or no insulin.
