Yes: Oily fish are the source of the epidemiological data suggesting health benefits. Other fish have lesser amounts of fish oils. Supplements are variable in their content of epa and dha components, and potential issues of mercury and other contaminants (though not serious issues with reputable sources) have existed. Supplements not truly validated for comparable benefit as fish itself.
