A member asked:

Does pcos affect a woman while she is pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes most certainly: Pregnancy is the most dangerous time for women with pcos and Insulin resistance. Pregnancy is like a fast forward into your future health. Hormones of pregnancy make Insulin resistance dramatically worse. Nausea, vomiting, pih or high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, and extreme weight gain (>30lbs) are all signs. Read, "why we get fat and what to do about it" taubes. Best treatment in preg.
