All kinds: Thyroid disorders are more common in women than in men. The range of disorders runs the gamut of developmental anomalies, inflammation, autoimmune disease, hypo and hyper-function, goiter - diffuse or nodular, thyroid cancer etc. Rarely thyroid tissue in an ovarian tumor may be functional and cause thyroid hyperactivity.

Women's thyroid: Same as men. 7 times more likely to develop autoimmune thyroid disease. Especially common if first-degree relative gas it. Hashimotos and graves disease. These can cause hypo and hyper thyroidism or just goiter.
