Can i breastfeed if lupus?

Absolutely. Check Rx: There is no problem with breastfeeding with a diagnosis of lupus in the mother. However, check with your OB as to which medications you are allowed to take while breastfeeding. Your OB can coordinate treatment with your rheumatologist.

Lupus: Lupus itself should not present a problem. You will want to review your medications with your obstetrician or pediatrician for safety
