Arthritis: You may have arthritis, or a tear of the meniscus which has allowed a cyst to form behind the knee. Would recommend an evaluation.

Likely tendonitis: Pain that is worse at rest and at night may be tendonitis. The hamstring tendons attach behind the knee and if inflamed may be the cause of your pain. Stretching and anti-inflammatories are a good place to start.

For about a month now, i've had a strange pain in my inner thigh muscle, down to my knee, behind it and outside of my calf. It's worse while sitting.
Bad knee pain. (worse at night in bed) come on last 2 months. Old fib/tib compound on other leg 25 yrs ago- inc 4 inch shorter. No swelling at moment.
I have a pain om my left hip and it gets worse at night, it also affect the whole leg down to the knee and it causing abdominal pains when I'm sitting down. ?
