Yes: Supraventricular tachycardia (svt) is a broad group of dysrhythmias that include atrial fibrillation (af). Svts are a very common rhythm abnormality and af among the commonest svts increasing in frequency as we age. Risk factors include thyroid disease, age, hypertension, diabetes, and several others. Treatments for SVT and af include medicines, pacemakers (if needed) and ablative procedures.
