Supraventricular tachycardia. what to do as a 19y athlete?

It is potentially cu: Svt is potentially curable by a procedure called radiofrequency ablation. Medications also can frequently keep the problem in check , however, in young pts. Especially athletes ablation is the preferred form of treatment. Have your doctor refer you to a cardiologist/electrophysiologist.

Get evaluated: You need to find out why you are having the tachycardia and whether it is truly supra-ventricular tachycardia (svt) before you continue engaging in high level athletics. Many forms of svt can be treated and even "cured" so it is not worth the risk to continue sports until you know that it is safe to do so. See a cardiologist asap.
