She'l Let you Know: I believe healthy babies are hardwired to alert parents to their need for feeding. As long as they are gaining weight and wetting 5 or more diapers a day, they are fine.Despite what some believe, there is a large variation on how often babies will need to be fed.I never wake up to feed.

6-8 or longer: Remember babies are asleep for 18 hours and awake for only 6 hours in the beginning.Guide your baby and offer the breast every 3 hours if everything else is fine. You do not want to train your baby to be a night feeder. It will come back & haunt you. It is more than a full time job& you need your 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep too!
