May be referred pain: A bad cold can cause inflammation of the mucus membranes that line the maturing sinuses this causes the mucus glands in the sinuses to flow. When the passages in your sinuses become blocked, pressure develops and the nose may feel plugged. If your cold lingers for more than a week and you begin to have pain in the sinus area, headache, upper tooth pain, nasal obstruction/purulent d/c-see your doc.

See your doctor: Fever in a two year old should be seen after the first twenty four hours. Children 2 do not localize pain well. Therefire it could be several possiblities. Go see your doctor.

Not Likely: His second primary molars are cutting. The runny nose could also be allergies. Have him bite on a cold biting ring or wash cloth with ice in it. Also, alternate Ibuprofen and tylenol (acetaminophen) every 4 hous until fever goes down, .

Pain: By age 2 your child should have already seen a Dentist or Pediatric Dental Specialist (Pedodontist) at least 2 or 3 times. That practitioner will have a baseline for comparison. If not, please make an immediate appointment. It may be teething pain, but there are many other possibilities. An examination and possibly imaging is required
