May be referred pain: A bad cold can cause inflammation of the mucus membranes that line the maturing sinuses this causes the mucus glands in the sinuses to flow. When the passages in your sinuses become blocked, pressure develops and the nose may feel plugged. Pain: By age 2 your child should have already seen a Dentist or Pediatric Dental Specialist (Pedodontist) at least 2 or 3 times. That practitioner will have a baseline for comparison. If not, please make an immediate appointment. It may be teething pain, but there are many other possibilities. An examination and possibly imaging is required
