Bland, BRAT: A bland diet (no added spice, acidic foods, sugary, or salty). Some good foods are in the brat diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (unbuttered). Also, plenty of fluids. This will make sure you stay hydrated and get proper nutrients and calories.

Ginger.: I agree with dr. Bansal. Additionally consider adding in ginger to decrease spasm of the smooth muscle in your GI tract. You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or ginger tea. You can also add ginger to your cooked food.

Bland food: Nothing too rich or spicy. Plenty of fluids help too.

Try ginger: Ginger can reduce nausea & upset stomach. You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or nibble on crystallized ginger. Or pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger & steep x 5 min in a covered pot. Sip.
