Treat the ulcers: First he must treat the ulcers and then eliminate what in his diet is increasing the trauma to the lining of the stomach.

Here's what he can't: Have him cut back on spicy, greasy food, mints, chocolate, alcohol, tobacco, aspirin/Advil/Aleve/other NSAID's, caffeine in any form. Make sure he takes his acid reducer medicine as prescribed, treats H.pylori bacteria if found, and follows up with his Gastroenterologist to ensure the completeness of stomach ulcer healing.
