Not fibro!: Adolescents very rarely get pfs. It is a disease, typically of middle age associated with sleep disturbance, mild affective symptoms, and characteristic trigger points, not typically joints.

Sentinel symptoms include chronic widespread pain, depression, chronic fatigue, generalized weakness, restless sleep often secondary to chronic pain, & confusion (fibrofog). Adolescents often come to FM via Hypermobility Syndrome and biomechanical injuries from pursuit of extreme sports (skate & snow board) & contact sports.
