I have pain in one knee and i can't do lunges. is there an alternative?

Wall sits: You might get some differing opinions on this, but i feel that lunges are one of the worst exercises for the knee. It might strengthen your quads, but has the potential to tear up your knee if not done exactly right. Use "wall sits" as an alternative when your knees are flaring up. You'll build good isometric strength and endurance in the quads, calves and glutes.
