Selective fat burn: When losing weight or burning fat the body does not selectively burn fat based on what region you're exercising. Just like fat accumulation is based predominantly on genetic predisposition and body type, the same holds true for fat burning. However, muscle strengthening and toning will increase in those areas that are being exercised. The muscle toning will help these areas look better and slimmer.

No - it's beneficial: To your health though. Spot fat loss does not occur naturally. By losing weight in general a certain amt will probably be abdominal fat. However, we don't get to chose what area of the body the fat is lost from. Eat healthfully ; be physically active. Calories burned must > calories consumed.
