4yr old vomiting for last 2hrs. now is dry heaves and spit. it's nearly 11pm... go to hospital? never has belly issues.

Call Doctor or . . .: Normal, healthy young kids can throw up from bad food, stomach viruses, etc... A child who looks good after throwing up in the evening may just want to go to bed. A 4 year old who was fine hours earlier should be able to sleep until morning without eating or drinking, if he throws up after dinner. If a child looks quite sickly or has other worrisome symptoms, a doctor should evaluate at the er.
