See below: A cardiologist treats all kinds of heart disease including hypertension. Some cardiologists focus on hypertension but any good cardiologist is going to be an expert on hypertension. It iis one of the most common things that we treat.

Differences are few: Not all cardiologists are specialists in HTN but most have expertise in treating complex blood pressure and heart problems. Htn specialists can be cardiologists, internists, or nephrologists (kidney). A cardiologist is expert in all types of heart and blood vessel problems.
