What is reno vascular hypertension?

Kidney artery: Kidneys are critical regulators of salt balance and bp, and when a partial renal arterial obstruction develops, the level of BP sensed by the kidney decreases. This trigger a number of processes, notably increased secretion of renin, which raise systemic bp, resulting in hypertension. Renovascular hypertension can sometimes be improved or even cured by relief of the obstruction.
