Many classifications: Systolic (upper number), diastolic (lower number), borderline or pre, stage 1 (mild), stage 2 (severe), stage 3 (especially severe - used in europe), white coat (only seen in the drs office), resistant (still elevated despite 5 drugs), malignant (causing serious symptoms like heart failure, encephalopathy or kidney failure), essential (cause unknown), secondary(cause known).
