Ovarian pain: Ovarian pain near the start of your period could be related to an ovarian cyst, constipation, or uterine cramping. Persistent pain should be evaluated by your physician. Best wishes.

Cyst?: You could have an ovarian cyst that may or may not have ruptured. It is more liekly to cause pain if it gets twisted (torsion). Most often, it is not a serious problem. However, if the pain persists or worsens see your gynecologist.
