After first fall: Falling is common and often multi-factorial. Should be evaluated by primary doctor with referral as necessary. Common causes of falls in elderly include visual loss, vestibular loss, weakness, altered gait, pain, dementing illnesses, neurologic disease. There are a number of simple interventions. Senior centers can provide a lot of help. Falls are a leading cause of death.
