Close windows: Make sure windows are closed or have screens that cannot be pushed out. Don't underestimate your child's ability to climb.

Child proof home: Falling is part of the process for children learning to walk. What you can do as a parent is to make sure your house is safe from any potential dangers if they happen to fall and hit something. Get corner guards for all tables with sharp edges, babyproof and lock drawers and windows. Be sure to secure bookcases, tvs and tvstands so that if your child happens to grab it, it won't tumble on them.
