Yes.: People with pain who can exercise at an appropriate level, without signifcantly increasing pain, will with time have a decrement in pain, and will also stay healthier and maintain weight than someone who does not. Exercise is also a distraction and directs your mind away from your pain.

Rationalize Exercise: Absolutely! depending upon your specific pain problem you can find a regime of exercise that will not only help alleviate your pain, but stimulate healing, improve mental attitude, distract you from your pain and enhance your daily functioning. Consulting with a physical therapist, your physician and even a personal trainer would be a good idea. As we all know chronic pain doesn't have to rule.
