Milk fat: Milk fat contains approximately 65% saturated, 30% monounsaturated, and 5% polyunsaturated fatty acids. Saturated fatty acids are associated with high blood cholesterol; short chain fatty acids are metabolized differently than long chain fatty acids & are not considered to be a factor in heart disease. Conjugated linoleic acid is a trans fatty acid in milkfat that is beneficial to humans —>.

No: Ldl is a particle that carries cholesterol and triglycerides. It is "bad" because it has the ability to penetrate blood vessels and "dump" cholesterol, thus starting arteriosclerosis. Hdl also carries cholesterol and trigs but it may scoop cholesterol out of blood vessels and is thus "good." milk in large amounts may have an effect on cholesterol but so may other foods and beverages ingested.
