A member asked:

What are the symptomsof children being terrorized?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anxiety/ Regression: When children have been exposed to a terrifying event, clinical and non-clinical levels of symptomatology can arise. These might include flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, anxiety around separation from parents, and other signs of regression such as bedwetting and mood fluctuations. These symptoms sometimes resolve by themselves, but if they persist professional help should be sought.
