Wetting from birth: Primary nocturnal enuresis means that subject has wet at night from birth, frequecy can be variable from every night down to once or twice a month. About 15% of 5-year-olds still wet their beds and is thus within normal limits for this age group. Primary diurnal enuresis means the involuntary urination by day. Secondary enuresis signifies onset of wetting after a significant period of dryness.

Primary enuresis: Means that person has never stayed dry through the night since birth vs a secondary enuresis where person had been dry for at leats 6-12 months during the night and then returns to wetting bed.
