What causes hematuria in the urine?

See below: Hematuria is a term applied to blood in the urine, either frank blood or cola coloured urine or microscopic amounts.There are numerous causes, either from bladder or kidneys.

Blood in urine: Gross or microscopic blood can come from a bladder infection, kidney or bladder tumor benign or malignant, kidney or bladder stone, glomerulo- or pyelonephritis, or other autoummune disease or arteriovenous malformation. Interstiotal cystitis or even an overactive pladder can cause microscopic hematuria.
