What's immunosenescence benefitting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ideas: This pathologist is unimpressed with the pop notion that the immune system, especially lymphocytes, are much decreased in the elderly. The decrease in the percentage of new-responder lymphocytes simply reflects the fact that there's more immune memory cells from past victories. In the big picture, children replacing parents increases a species' adaptability, but grandma's still able to fight germs.
