Painless swelling: Lymphedema of the legs is usually painless. If you have painful swelling, it is more likely to be something called lipidema. The hallmark of lymphedema of the legs is that the feet and toes are also swollen. If you can't pinch the skin on the top of your 2nd or 3rd toes because of swelling, then it is probably lymphedema. This is not true if you have edema from other causes.

Swelling: Most often affects arm or leg after lymph node surgery or lymphatic damage. Skin and tissues become thickened and swollen chronically. Color of skin can darken slightly.

Swelling: If you have lymphedema, you may not develop symptoms immediately. Sometimes symptoms occur 15 or more years following an injury to your lymphatic system. When symptoms eventually occur, they can include: aching, weakness, redness, heaviness, or tightness in one of your limbs. Also less flexibility in your wrist or ankle, tight-fitting rings or shoes. Swelling on the top of the foot is classic one.

Hello. Swollen fat deposits, creased skin, and warty overgrowths can occur during a severe stage of lymphedema. Lymphedema can be asymptomatic during its latency stage, which can take years before physical changes manifest. I would advise you to go see a doctor should you experience swelling and pain while moving your limbs.
