Check local VA: There are numerous resources for Veterans. Disability compensation benefits and Healthcare being two of the biggest ones. VA provides these benefits, however, the veteran has to apply or claim these benefits. Local VA regional offices as well as Veteran advocacy groups offer support to veterans for obtaining disability compensation, benefits and pensions, if eligible.
