Why does my energy level get messed up when we switch to daylight saving time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Jet lag: Your brain is used to certain light cues to tell your body it's time for bed. When that gets altered, your brain gets confused, and the correct hormones that signal sleep are deranged. It can take a few days to get things "realigned". Jet lag does a similar thing, and takes about an hour per time zone to correct.
