Bleeding problems: Platelets aggregation studies are typically done if there is a history of unusual bleeding and concerns for abnormal platelet function. Platelet function can be abnormal if there are abnormal screening tests (pfa-100, bleeding time). Also platelet aggregations may be done if the remainder of a bleeding evaluation has been normal.
