HIGH FAT AND SALT: Avoid foods with high fat and salt.Cut down red meat chhese, butter. Load up on fresh vegetables fresh fruits .Whole grain bread, lean meat, fish, nuts avoid canned foods there is lot of salt as preservative.

DASH or Ornish: Dean ornish is the only "diet" that has been shown to reverse heart disease with diet/lifestyle alone. Most recommend that healthy fats be added to the ornish diet, however: nuts, nut oil, olive oil, avocado, etc. Another excellent option is the "dash" diet. Do a google search for the dash diet and you'll find it - the full pdf is over 50 pages. There's a short version but not as helpful.
